Kathryn Callori, Executive Director

Kathy Callori Kathy has been involved with the Straight Spouse Network since her spouse came out in 1995. She has facilitated a very active New Jersey Face2Face Group for 8 years, providing many volunteers to help SSN projects. She was Board Secretary for 3 years, stepping down when offered the paid Position of Operations Director in 2005, moving on to become Executive Director in 2006.

Kathy comes with many years of financial and management skills from her years of volunteering with and for her two children and community and her position as bookkeeper/office manger for a very busy architectural firm. She looks forward to the challenge of moving SSN forward to the next level with a very capable Board/Staff working with her.

Dave Grover (GA) Technical Director/Webmaster

Dave Grover Dave discovered he was a straight spouse in the fall of 1998. Like many he thought he was the only person in the world to whom this had happened. In 1999, he found the Straight Spouse Network through the Str8s email support list. After several years of attempting to make a mixed orientation marriage work, he divorced in 2005. A self-taught computer geek, whose first computer was a Commodore64 (!), Daveʼs been upgrading and continuing to learn ever since. In 2001, he started as volunteer webmaster, taking over from the previous webmaster. He worked as a volunteer through 2005 and became a paid staff member in 2006. His current title is “Technical Director/Webmaster,”. He continues to volunteer in the roles of group facilitator and contact in the Atlanta, GA area. Dave lives with his current wife, three kids and two dogs, just north of Atlanta.

Nicole Klemens (NY) Operations Director

Nicole Klemens Nicole has been SSNʼs part-time Director of Operations since July ʻ07. She brings many organizational and business skills to the staff and is responsible for much of the back-office on-going activities, as well as assisting Executive Director Kathy Callori with long-term planning.

Born in Texas, and a resident of New York since childhood, Nicole graduated from State University of New York at Binghamton in 1979 with a degree in Psychology. In her professional career, she held various sales and marketing positions at KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. She “retired” from the airline industry in 1992 to raise her sons, who are now college and high school students.

Nicole was married to her ex-husband for 23 years, before divorcing in 2003. She lives with her kids in Westchester County, NY. After the trauma of “the gay thing,” Nicole and her ex-husband have developed a cordial relationship that includes family gatherings and meals together.

Nicole is the back-up facilitator of the Westchester Face2Face group. SSN has been a big part of her moving on, and she is happy to be able to give back to the organization and the people that helped her get through so much of it.

Cathy "Frappy" Wos (FL) Communications Director

Cathy Wos Cathy found out her spouse was gay in 1999 and they stayed together as a couple for two years. They separated in 2001 and were divorced in 2002. They did not have children, but remain friendly today.

Cathy began working for the Straight Spouse Network as a volunteer in 2002. She joined the staff in 2007 as a Communications Assistant. She has also served as Project Manager for a grant that the Straight Spouse Network received to reach underserved populations and helped compile our Group Facilitators' Manual. In 2009, she was promoted to Communications Director.
